It was great to be back on the south coast last week to review progress at Stubbington Manor for our valued repeat client, Barchester Healthcare.

Despite some damp weather, the Elmwood team are making excellent headway on this care home development, which sits adjacent to Solent Airport. The roof structure is now nearing completion, with roof coverings well underway and a fully watertight milestone targeted for mid-February.

Internally, first-fix mechanical and electrical works are progressing well in areas already protected from the elements. Dry lining is scheduled to commence once the roof coverings are complete, allowing internal works to accelerate further.

With Practical Completion scheduled for Q3 2026, it’s encouraging to see the project continuing to take shape at pace. We look forward to sharing further updates as Stubbington Manor moves through the next stages of construction.
